Welcome to Tuam

Tuam (Tuaim) is a town in the west-midlands of Ireland north of Galway city.

Tuam has two cathedrals; St. Mary's Cathedral (Church of Ireland) and the Cathedral of the Assumption (Roman Catholic). The presence of these two cathedrals has locals claiming it as the smallest city in the world, although it is not ofically recognized as a city.

The town has a strong GAA tradition: St Jarlath's CollegeTuam has won the Hogan Cup (National Championship for secondary schools) a record 12 times since the Games began in 1946.
