Portumna Rugby Club was only reformed in 2002, a massive 40 years since their last game.
Portumna is widely regarded as a friendly and social club (although friendship is temporarily put on hold when the players cross the white line on match day), new members are greeted with open arms and their games are noted for the number of families who attend and the friendship that is generated between the members, players and supporters.
