Strawhall Nursing Home was established in 1988 by the late Edmund Rice incorporating his family home at "Strawhall House". The home is still run by the Rice family today. This 27 bed home is set in mature gardens with quiet , pleasant surroundings offering rural views of Corrin and the Comeragh mountains. The home provides modern standards while retaining many of its original features and its homely athmosphere. We embrace the challenges of today while cherishing times past. We not only cater for our present generation but also future generations by using renewable energy,comprising of solar panels and a wood chip boiler.
