‘WANTON VANDALISM AND NEGLECT HAS PLAGUED THE CONVENT’ – CLAIM HERITAGE SOCIETY
Since the dilapidated and disgraceful state of the Presentation Convent building and grounds was exposed last week in The Avondhu, Mitchelstown Heritage Society has called on the council and owners to carry out repairs and enclose the building before it falls into complete ruin and desolation.
The chairman of the society, Andrew Dineen said that a member of the public rightly highlighted the deplorable state of the convent and that the county council has been made aware of the problems there by the society.
