Table quiz to aid Kildorrery toddler and family with leukaemia struggle
On March 3 last year, the world of a Kildorrery family was turned upside down as their 18-month-old baby was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and since then, people from Kildorrery and Mitchelstown have been rallying together to help the family through what have proved to be trying times.
To support the family, a fundraising table quiz will take place on Friday, April 4 at 9pm in The Hunter's Rest, Mitchelstown.
Fionn has been going through chemotherapy since he was diagnosed and this will continue for the next two and a half years. He will turn three in August and while his treatment is going to plan, this is a trying time for his parents Jack and Eimear, himself, his two sisters Saoirse (4) and Amy (9) and extended family. Fionn's mother, Eimear, teaches in Bunscoil na Toirbhirte.
The family are extremely grateful for the continued support from people in the local community and all support for the table quiz on April 4 would be greatly appreciated. Teams cost €40 with John Hickey as quiz master and there will be refreshments and spot prizes on the night.
