While the 4Home Stores staff in Mitchelstown continues to sit and wait at the closed store in the town no word has been received from management concerning the recommendation of the Labour Relations Commission (LRC).
A reliable source told The Avondhu that the staff has not heard from 4Home Stores regarding their redundancies as discussed with the LRC.
It is understood that staff at the now closed 4 Home Stores in the town centre are continuing to be paid event though all the stock has been removed and the store is not open to the public.
Staff members at 4Home Stores in Fermoy, Mitchelstown and Annacotty were all made redundant when management decided to close the stores over two months ago.
Meanwhile it is believed that talks are continuing regarding the probable transfer of the remaining 4Home Stores back under the Dairygold umbrella. This move is expected to be announced within days.
It is also reported that talks between management and unions are scheduled for the coming week.
