RAGING STORM RIPPED THROUGH STUD FARM
It lasted just a minute and a half, but the savage storm that hit the Rockmills area outside Kildorrery last week left a trail of destruction in its wake as roofs were savagely ripped off stables and trees were uprooted.
The worst damage was inflicted upon the Carrigdownane Stud Farm, owned by Brendan and Olive Gallagher. Here the roofs were ripped from the stables and a horse walker and bits of debris can still be seen in distant fields and back roads, showing the sheer strength of the storm.
