OFFICIAL OPENING OF NEW LIBRARY
The Mayor of Cork County, Tim Lombard will perform the official opening of the new Mitchelstown Library at 11am on Thursday next, September 29, writes Nicola-Marie O’Riordan.
The library has proven to be a tremendous success with over 601 new members joining during its first week of opening.
“The facility is much appreciated by the people of Mitchelstown and it’s greatly utilised by everyone. We hope that they will maintain current opening hours to offer people a chance to use this fantastic facility,” Cllr Kevin O’Keeffe told The Avondhu.
A number of Cork County Council officials are expected to attend the event and the general public are also invited.
