NO WHITE SMOKE ON FOOD FESTIVAL
The former Mitchelstown Food Festival chairman, Ger Moylan, having confirmed that he was stepping down due to family reasons and work commitments, this week indicated that no one has, in the meantime, stepped forward to fill the role.
Admitting that the food festival is unlikely to go ahead in 2012, Mr Moylan had told The Avondhu that the outgoing committee had canvassed a number of people to take up the position over the past months but without any success.
