NED'S CHINESE TAKEAWAY!
The once a week Chinese takeaway on a Saturday night could become a lot more frequent if the latest revelations from Mitchelstown TD, Ned O’Keeffe are anything to go by.
Speaking on the Patricia Messenger Show on C103, Deputy O’Keeffe said that his greatest fear was not the total economic collapse of the country but the arrival of hordes of Chinese bankers.
Asked why his support for the Taoiseach Brian Cowen has now evaporated Deputy O’Keeffe said, “We have to put in place a plan to save this party and this country and I think it is now time for a change of leadership.”
LOOKING TO THE EAST
However, it was the deputy’s comments about the crisis in the banking system that showed that Ned has his sights set further to the east.
“The blame for the problems we have is nothing to do with the banks, it is down purely and simply to politicians, the planners and the county councils. We have a foreigner in place telling us we should sell our banks and I don’t want the Chinese coming in here.
"We had 800 years of English rule, if we let the Chinese in and give them a base here like they have in the Sudan and in other parts of Africa then, where will we be? They would then probably take over the place with military bases and so on,” Deputy O’Keeffe told the C103 listeners.
MILITARY POWER
Asked why the Chinese would want to set up a military base in Ireland the deputy said, “It is the nature of their business, the Chinese are going to take over the world, they are a financial power and a military power as well.” Deputy O’Keeffe went on to say that it has been proposed to sell AIB and the Bank of Ireland to Chinese banks.
“I am totally opposed to that (selling the banks) and I think every Irishman who has an understanding of the freedom of his country will see what the Chinese are up to,” Deputy O’Keeffe said.
Could the North Cork Deputy’s forecast of an Oriental future for the Emerald Isle come true? Will the flowery spuds be replaced by rice? Are there plans being drawn up for a ‘Great Wall’ around Dublin in an attempt to keep the rural barbarians out?
However, there is a bright side for Ned, if the Chinese take over, they are, after all, very fond of pork!
