NED IS READY FOR BATTLE
Ned O’Keeffe TD was quick this week to rubbish any suggestion that he would not be standing at the next general election, “Of course I am going to run, I have to. Many people have told me that they want me to run and I will be serving the people of North Cork for many more years,” Deputy O’Keeffe told The Avondhu.
Deputy O’Keeffe TD also predicted that the Government will get support for the budget in December but he is certain that An Taoiseach will be forced to call an election early in 2011.
“The budget will be passed I am sure of that but I think the bye-elections will force a general election,” Deputy O’Keeffe told The Avondhu.
As to when the country will go to the polls, Deputy O’Keeffe said, “I can see an election in April or May.”
