MITCHELSTOWN GETS THAT FINAL WINNING FEELING!
Mitchelstown is this week a sea of red and black as its junior footballers get set for one of the biggest local GAA days for half a century.
Shopkeepers and businesses alike are showing their support by proudly flying bunting and flags, as the local team prepares for the first Cork junior A county final in 38 years against Kanturk on this Friday night, November 11.
“It’s been over 50 years since we won a junior county final and 38 years since we played in one,” John Courtney of Mitchelstown GAA Club told The Avondhu.
“We also won the intermediate football championship in 1965
