MEMBERSHIP BOOST FOR BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
Mitchelstown Business Association has this week reported an increase in the number of new members joining for the first time ever, writes Brian Moore.
“The MBA is delighted with the response we are getting from the businesses in the town who are renewing their membership with the association and, on top of that, there has been an increase in the number of businesses joining the association for the first time,” chairman, Eamonn O’Brien, told The Avondhu.
Promoting business in the town has been top of the agenda for the MBA over the last year.
“We have had a great response to the Mitchelstown loyalty shopping card, more and more businesses are getting involved as the scheme goes from strength to strength.
"There has also been a lot done to promote the fact that Mitchelstown has free two hour parking and the signs that have been erected on the roads into the town have been very successful in highlighting what the town has to offer,” Eamonn O’Brien said.
He went on to thank all those who have worked so hard for the town, “Membership of the MBA is an ideal way for businesses to work together to help themselves and their local economy. We must remember that all the work you see being done by the association in the town is on a voluntary basis and I want to thank everybody for all their support and time over the past year,” Eamonn O’Brien concluded.
