Lease signed for Mitchelstown allotments
The lease on the Mitchelstown allotments, which will boost the Mitchelstown Healthy Town status, has now been signed and the allotments are expected to be ready within the next month and a half.
Chairperson of Mitchelstown Community Council, Sean Finn, said that there were initial teething problems, but now that the lease is signed, he expects the allotments to be ready quite soon. The allotments will be situated in Brigown on 1.505 acres of land.
"This will be one of the best things for Mitchelstown," he said.
