LONG SERVING POSTMAN HONOURED IN ARAGLIN
A career spanning over 4 decades came to an end recently with the retirement of Araglin postman, Gene McCarthy.
The long serving mail man was honoured at a function held in Araglin Hall last Saturday night – the event was very well organized by Araglin Community Council.
Gene, from the townland of Barnahown, was accompanied by his wife, Catherine and daughter, Orla (Linehan) – he also has a son Paul and daughter, Jacinta.
