Change was a matter of principal in Shanballymore National School this week, as pupils bid a sad farewell to an old friend and welcomed a new face to the corridors of power.
After an amazing 21 years at the helm and a total of 36 years as a teacher in the school, principal, Mary Hernon officially stepped down on Sunday, February 19 with new principal, Michael O’Sullivan taking over on Monday morning.
