English author for Mitchelstown launch
English author Maria C McCarthy will be a special guest at the launch of Mitchelstown Writers' 'Mitchelstown Miscellany' anthology in Kingston College Chapel on this Friday, 19th September at 3pm.
Maria, who was raised in England by Irish parents, her father Jim was born in Mitchelstown in 1928, as was, coincidentally, William Trevor), writes for Radio 4, and has had a collection of poetry published.
Maria will read from her recent book of short stories titled 'As Long as it Takes'.
