EMOTIONAL PLEA TO SAVE MITCHELSTOWN CONVENT
Mitchelstown man Timmy White has this week made an emotional plea for the old Presentation Convent building and gardens in the town to be saved from dereliction.
Mr White, better known locally as ‘The Rancher’, told The Avondhu, ““There is rubbish thrown all over the place, cans, bottles, condoms. Vandals have made a toilet of the place and the walls are covered in vulgarities of all sorts – it’s unbelievable what they have done to the place.”
