CONFUSION REIGNS OVER MITCHELSTOWN ROUNDABOUT MAINTENANCE
As a grey area remains as to who is responsible for the maintenance of Mitchelstown’s roundabouts, a number of businesses contacted The Avondhu to confirm that Mitchelstown Community Council is collecting funds for the upkeep of roundabouts in the town, specifically with a view to upgrading their current lawnmower.
The proprietor of one well known local firm told The Avondhu that they feel it should be the Cork County Council’s responsibility and that the Mitchelstown Community Council are not trying to be exploitive but instead just trying to do good by the town.
