CHANGING OF THE ‘GUARD’ AS NEW PRINCIPAL SIGNS ON THE DOTTED LINE
Signalling the end of an era and the dawn of a new beginning for the CBS Secondary School in Mitchelstown, current principal Donncha Crowley is to retire in March. His successor Dr John Desmond signed on the dotted line last Friday, February 3 and is looking forward to becoming the new principal at the school.
The Watergrasshill man worked at St Aloysius College, Carrigtwohill for the last 32 years, with his most recent position being that of assistant principal, year head and transition year co-ordinator.
A replacement for retiring deputy principal Pat Griffin has yet to be confirmed.
