CBS invite classes of 1950 to extension opening
On Friday next, May 31, CBS Primary will have their school extension officially opened by Minister Sean Sherlock and past pupils of the classes of 1950 are invited back as part of The Gathering to visit the school between 12 noon and 1pm.
In 1950, classes from CBS Primary excitedly posed for their class pictures outside their lovely school and now as the school is set to officially open their final extension, they are inviting the people in those classes back to the school to celebrate this momentous occasion with them.
On Friday next, May 31, CBS Primary will have their school extension officially opened by Minister Sean Sherlock and past pupils of the classes of 1950 are invited back as part of The Gathering to visit the school between 12 noon and 1pm.
The day's events will begin at 11am, as the school will also raise their Green Flag for water conservation and launch their 2013 school magazine in the form of their Ezine. There will be refreshments afterwards in the school.
Principal Mary O'Callaghan said that they have reached a point now where they simply do not have the space to extend the school any more and so this opening marks the final chapter in the school's expansion, as it has now reached it's full potential with a plethora of new facilities and rooms in the new extension.
Over the years, many students have seen parts of the school grow, change and develop, as it was enhanced to improve their educational experience and school going days.
From the day that the class pictures were taken in 1950, the school has undergone some amazing changes and now, the school which those students attended, represents only a fraction of what it is today.
