82 PERCENT TURNOUT IN MITCHELSTOWN COMMUNITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS
The following are the results of the Mitchelstown Community Council elections 2008 which were carried out during the months of July, August and September.
Area 1 – Kilshanny, Garryleagh, Kildrum, Killakane, Pollardstown, Ballynabrook – Elected Sean Finn (Kilshanny).
Area 2 - O’Neill Crowley Terrace, Liam Lynch Park, Moher Crescent, Beechwood Grove – Elected Seamus Kilmartin (O’Neill Crowley Terrace).
Area 3 – Kiltrislane, Ballynamona, Glenatlucky, Turbeagh, Ballybeg – Elected Bob Dalton (Ballybeg Road).
Area 4 – Abbey Farm, The Meadows, Carraigroe, Stonewell, Abbey View, Woodlawn – Elected (to be confirmed).
Area 5: Clonmel Road, Clonmel Road New Cottages, Sarsfield Casey Drive, Roches Heights, Captains Grove – Elected Michael White (Captain Keane’s Grove).
Area 6 – George’s Street, Church Street, King Street, Kings Square, New Market Square, Kingston Close, Kingston College, Castlepark, Castlefarm Road – Elected Frances Finn (Georges Street).
Area 7 – Garrane, Coolenave, Coolregan, Carrigane, Corracunna – Elected Jim Flynn (Coolyregan).
Mitchelstown Community Council wishes to thank all those who exercised their vote in the electoral areas mentioned, where the turnout was 82%, and to ask people in those areas to get to know their elected member of the council.
