3AM START WELL WORTH THE EFFORT FOR ANGLESBORO OLYMPIC TORCH INVITEES
An early morning departure from his native Anglesboro proved well worthwhile for Pat English who described the arrival of the Olympic torch in Dublin as ‘an unforgettable experience’ on Wednesday morning of this week.
Community stalwart English had left his home in Anglesboro when most locals were turning over for a second sleep at 3am, joining fellow invitees, Dan McCarthy (who happened to be working in Dublin at the time) and JJ Brophy, a grandnephew of Olympic Council of Ireland founder and Anglesboro native, JJ Keane, at the Red Cow at the ungodly hour of 5am.
