€16,000 WORTH OF CANNABIS RESIN SEIZED IN MITCHELSTOWN
Earlier this week, cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €16,000 was seized by gardai during a house search in Mitchelstown. A local man in his 40s was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act in Fermoy garda station and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
The search was carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Monday, October 15 at around 9pm by Fermoy and Mitchelstown Drugs Units, assisted by uniformed Gardai from Mitchelstown and backed up by a drugs dog from Cork city.
