THIEVES SNATCH WAGES
A substantial amount of cash was taken from a car in Coolagown on Friday last, May 18 after a local employer was followed to the village from Fermoy by a suspect vehicle. The female driver of a silver Audi A4 travelled to Fermoy to withdraw cash from the bank to pay employees at a family business in the Coolagown area.
“The money was withdrawn to pay the wages of staff, but on her way the injured party stopped off in the Lidl car park in Fermoy where two males were seen acting suspiciously in and around her car,” Inspector Tony O’Sullivan told The Avondhu.
