STUART TO PAY BACK ‘MAGNIFICENT’ FERMOY AFTER HIS PASSING
The father of the late Stuart Mangan has this week hailed the magnificent response of the people of Fermoy and spoken of his son’s final lasting legacy for his hometown.
Stuart (26), from Corrin near Fermoy, was left paralysed from the neck down in April 2008 after suffering severe spinal injuries during a rugby match in London. He died in August 2009.
Now a massive €1.6m fund, set up in his honour, will be providing respite for under pressure families around his beloved Fermoy and dad Brian could not be prouder.
Speaking this week, Brian Mangan paid tribute to the people of Fermoy for all they had done over the last four years - particularly in the aftermath of Stuart’s horrific injuries in 2008.
