ON THE MARCH TO SAVE FERMOY WELFARE HOME
A 300 strong rally last weekend through the streets of Fermoy in support of St Francis’ Welfare Home has been described by local Fine Gael TD Tom Barry this week as ‘a worthwhile show of support for the facility,’ but he raised concerns about some elements at the event on Sunday last.
Commenting on the march, Deputy Barry said that the fight continues to maintain services at St Francis but he hit out at a small group of protestors who he claimed had hijacked the legitimate rally to raise a separate and national issue...
