MAN CONFRONTS BURGLARS IN HOME
An Araglin resident came face to face with two intruders who made off with what Gardai have described as a ‘substantial’ amount of jewellery in a daring daylight robbery.
The man in question arrived home to his residence at an address in Cronohill, Araglin at approximately 5.30pm on Tuesday, June 30 to find his back door open.
On entering the house the man heard noises and was confronted by two men, one of whom produced an implement, according to a Garda spokesman.
The men quickly fled the scene and are believed to have made their escape in an 05-C registered black Volkswagen Passat. One of the intruders is described as in his thirties, of stocky build, with blonde hair.
Gardai are asking for anyone with information on either the intruders or the suspected vehicle used in the robbery to contact Fermoy Garda station.
