LANDMARK BUSINESS PREMISES SOLD IN FERMOY
The former Co-Op SuperStores premises at Patrick Street in Fermoy, one of the town’s landmark properties, has been sold.
The extensive shop has lain idle since it closed its doors in August 2009 with the loss of over a dozen jobs. It’s understood the asking price, when the 17,400 sq ft premises was first put up for sale by Reox Holdings, was over €3m.
It was initially reported, and confirmed by Cork based selling agents Savills, that two parties, an individual and a well known branded multi national retailer, were actively interested in the property.
