Fermoy woman wins €44,000 on National Lottery game show
Saturday night brought a wonderful windfall for Fermoy woman Josie Tobin, who won €44,000 on the National Lottery's Winning Streak Gameshow on RTE.
The lucky ticket was bought in Riordan's SuperValu, Fermoy and on the show, Josie was one of five players who won prizes and cash amounting to €306,000 in total.
The mother of two has five granddaughters and three great grandchildren, so she said that she will be treating her family and the winning amount will find many uses. Josie, who lives in Grattan Terrace in the town, said that she wasn't that nervous during the show, but said that there is a bit of pressure to get things right!
Josie told The Avondhu that she wouldn't play scratch cards that often, but her brother gave her a present of some for her birthday and they were clearly the lucky ones. Spend wisely Josie!
