FERMOY WOMAN GETS LUCKY WITH WINNING STREAK SPOT
A local woman is to appear on the National Lottery Winning Streak game show on RTE One this Saturday, writes Susan Caplice. Pauline Fenton, from Ballinahina, Fermoy couldn’t believe her luck when Marty Whelan called her name out on the show last weekend.
“We came in from Mass and turned on the show, I couldn’t believe it when I heard my name called out. I was thrilled,” Pauline told The Avondhu.
Her husband John and 20 others will accompany her to Dublin on Saturday for the show. The only fly in the ointment is that Pauline’s grandson, Brian is doing his first production in Ballyduff on Friday night in ‘This Lime Tree Bower’.
“We are disappointed to miss his opening night but he will be in Cork the following week so, hopefully, we will travel up in style for that,” Pauline told The Avondhu.
Pauline Fenton’s granddaughters are busy preparing banners so there is a lot of excitement ahead of the show.
“I am looking forward to meeting Marty Whelan. I don’t think I am nervous. I can be cool enough when I need to be,” she laughed.
The Avondhu wishes Pauline the best of luck. We hope that she spins the wheel and comes back to tell us all about it!
