FERMOY TO LOSE GARDA HEADQUARTERS
An Garda Siochana have confirmed that the Cork North divisional
headquarters is to leave Fermoy. In their annual Policing Plan,
released this month, the gardai propose changes to current operational
headquarters and boundaries in line with targets and standards of
policing set for the year ahead.
The report confirms
speculation of a move from Fermoy for the new divisional headquarters
to Mallow. As of yet no date has been formally set for the move.
