CUTBACKS AT FERMOY CREDIT UNION TO REDUCE COSTS
Fermoy Credit Union has reduced its opening hours to cut costs. As and from Monday, November 5 the premises will close at 4pm daily instead of 5pm and this also means a cut in wages for staff.
The 16 staff members, most of whom are full-time, are also having their occupational employee pension scheme suspended for a year with a review after that, to make further savings. Two people are being made redundant as part of the restructuring to move the credit union to a sounder footing.
