CREDIT UNION DENIES REDUNDANCY SPECULATION
Management at Fermoy Credit Union have insisted that there have been no redundancies amongst its permanent staff following speculation surrounding the institution.
Manager, Martina Cotter, confirmed that the credit union had revised its staffing levels and terminated part time weekend student contracts which she described as a ‘luxury’.
“No permanent staff have been made redundant. Some have had their hours reduced from a five-day week to a three-day week.
"In light of the current environment we are looking at both our staff and operational costs,” Ms Cotter told The Avondhu.
“Fermoy Credit Union has also revised its opening hours in light of this review,” she added.
