CRECHE DISPUTE OVER – WOMEN RETURN HOME
The long and protracted dispute between two employees of a VEC-operated creche in Fermoy and their employers finally ended last week, allowing the two women involved to go home and resume their lives.
The timing of the agreement reached was particularly appropriate for one of the women, Margaret Power, as she got to spend time with her elderly mother whose health was sharply declining, before she sadly passed away on Saturday last. Mrs. Maura Curran, from Clashmore, Co. Waterford, was aged 88.
